Sarah answered questions about the Age4Action Network:

Q.  Why did VolunteerMatch decide to join Age4Action?
We joined because we are committed to helping people 50+ find opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in their communities.

Q.  Please share with us the latest news/developments coming out of VolunteerMatch that Age4Action members would want to know about?
We are constantly working on our user interface to make it easier for nonprofits to create opportunities. We present six to eight free training webinars per month on topics relevant to nonprofit  volunteer administrators in an effort to enhance their programs and engage the talents of older adults.

Q.  In what ways can Age4Action serve/help VolunteerMatch?
Age4Action provides us with connections to organizations that are also committed to engaging older adults in meaningful service to their communities.

Q.  Within the civic engagement and older adult movement, what would you say is the biggest unmet need and how can Age4Action have an impact?
Age4Action can provide connection points for individuals and organizations to come together to solve the pressing needs of their communities through work, service, life-long learning and leadership.

Q.  How does Age4Action’s mission apply to you in your personal and/or professional life?
As an older adult, I want to stay connected to my community and share my experience and talents. Age4Action is a portal where I can stay informed on critical issues, access communication and advocacy information, and connect with the movement of vital engagement.
